Made From Beauty John Frieda Beach Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner I’m a sucker for beachy hair, especially in the summer time. There’s something about a maxi dress, long beachy waves and gold jewellry that will always work in the warmer months.

With that being said, I’ve never actually tried a shampoo and conditioner specifically designed to give he hair that look. I’ve been a fan of the Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for a very long time, but haven’t been able to part with the cash to buy the matching Surf Shampoo and Conditioner. If there was a budget option then I’d be very willing to give it a go.

In step the John Frieda Beach Blonde range!

First of all I was a bit confused by the name, is this a product line only for blondes? With a bit of research I found that it’s actually a firm favourite of lots of brunettes, redheads and blondes alike! So when I saw it available for 2 for £8.00 at my local Superdrug I thought I’d give it a shot!

Let’s just say straight up, I love the shampoo and conditioner from this line. It’s all that I imagined the high end Bumble and Bumble Surf range to be like.

Starting out with the John Frieda Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo, I was pleasantly surprised at how clarifying it is. With lots of lather, your hair starts to really feel clean as soon as you start to rub it in. If you read my Budget Buy: Clarifying Shampoo post, you’ll know I’m quite the fan of using a product like this every now and then to help with the build up of products. The Boots Clarifying Shampoo is a great one, but it can leave the hair feeling a little stripped – not great for dry hair, or coloured hair. However the Beach Blonde Cool Dip Purifying Shampoo seems to give the same effect without sucking out all the moisture.

I also used the accompanying Conditioner from the Beach Blonde range, the Smooth Seas Detangling Conditioner. I was a little unsure about this product before trying it, I usually go for very deep conditioning hair products, and if someone would have told me that I would fall in love with a product like this I wouldn’t have believed them. The conditioner is lightweight, but injects just enough nourishment to make hair soft and silky.

Made From Beauty John Frieda Beach Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner ReviewAnother thing I love about these products is the smell. Described as a ‘cooling mint’, these really are refreshing to use! To me they smell like straight up Peppermint Tea! I can only imagine how beautiful that fresh scent would be on long summer days – holiday hair anyone? And another thing, the scent actually sticks around, even three days after washing – bonus!

My hair was shiny, manageable, sleek and almost weightless after using the Beach Blonde range, all qualities I wish my frizzy, tangly hair would have naturally! If your looking for a new shampoo and conditioner to try, I’d say give this one a whirl! It’s back by popular demand and I can see why.

Have you tried these out? I’d love to know if you’re hooked like me, let me know in the comments below.
