Made From Beauty InStyle Now I know I’m not the only one who loves a freebie, so if you love them as much as the next person, may I suggest you give InStyle a gloss over this month.

You’ll find the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum attached to the front of this pretty awesome magazine. Now I don’t think I have to tell you this read is packed full of fashion, beauty and health articles. But in Junes issue there’s also a 20% off American Apparel voucher and a sample of the brilliant Garnier Oil Beauty Oil Infused Restoring Lotion. Now let’s get down to the best bit, the Clinique serum.

I’ve been wanting to try this product out for a while, and so this free 10ml sample is the perfect way to give it a test run for a couple of weeks.

Now down to the nitty gritty, this serum rocks! If your in your 20s or early 30s I would highly recommend this as a starting serum.

The idea behind the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum is that it will target your specific skin concerns, tailoring the active ingredients to your needs. Now sure that sounds like an awful lot of marketing fluff, but basically it just means with continued use the serum will use only some of its awesome ingredients to help your skin, whilst it would use some of its other ingredients on your friends skin.

So broken down there’s Licorice and red-algae extract to reduce inflammation; caffeine to fight irritation; vitamin C and ergothioneine help with those dark spots. Then there’s Made From Beauty favourites  glucosamine and salicylic acid to brighten the skin and fight off spots. You’ll also be pleased to know there’s active ingredients to boost collagen and repair UV damage, which between the ages of 18-30 are main concerns. Not forgetting good old hyaluronic acid and wheat-germ oil to really hydrate the skin, which any age can benefit from.

Made From Beauty clinique smart custom-repair serumSo after using the sample for about two weeks I can say my skin appears brighter and more hydrated after using the product every night under my moisturiser. It has, even in the short time I’ve had it, really helped my skin.

The serum is on the thicker side, which personally I like, with a balmy texture that’s comforting to apply.

There’s some real science that’s gone into this little bottle, and I’ve been really impressed! I’d say definitely pick up InStyle and get your hands on this one if your wanting to try the product out. With all those ingredients waiting to work their magic, if you’re new to skincare, this would be a great place to start. With the full size bottle starting at £48, for a 10ml sample, the magazine are really giving you great value for money, plus a pretty damn good read!

Do you think you’ll be picking up InStyle this month to give the Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum a go? Let me know in the comments.

P.S: Just for giggles, if you wanna see a slightly scary, futuristic woman applying this serum in a computer generated bathroom, may I suggest you check out Sephora’s YouTube video here – just one of the strange things that popped up whilst I was researching this product!
