Made From Beauty The Now I Get It Products
Sometimes there are some products you convince yourself you need before trying them out. Sometimes you get lucky and the products work for you and often times not so much. But what about the products that just take a little while before you realise just how much you love them, I call these the ‘Now I Get It’ products.

MAC Fix+

The first few times I used this product I was so disappointed. I thought I’d brought a useless bottle of water in a spray bottle. Then I had one of those ‘when I grow up I wanna be Desi Perkins’ moments (yes they happen regularly! If you haven’t seen her videos may I suggest you watch her videos here) and got my spray on! Now I’m in love, it really sets makeup with a beautiful sheen. Using it the first few times I wasn’t sure if it had extended my makeup wear, but after a few more times I know it does. The way I like to use it is all over the face then with a little powder over the top in the areas I don’t want to be shiny like around my nose. The Fix+ makes any product you apply on the top really cling so it’s great for special events when you need you powder to stay in place.

Anastasia Beverly Hills is the undisputed queen of brows, famous for her Brow Wizz. So when I saw the release of the Dip Brow Pomade, I was first in the queue to buy it. After having it for nearly a month I was so disappointed; it had my brows look over the top, seriously drawn on, and all kinds of fake. With already relatively full brows I was convinced it wasn’t the product for me. But with a few more tries I finally figured out how to use it for my brows. I now use just a very small amount of product worked into a small angled brush to create small hair like strokes.

I’d heard so many wonderful things about this product and as I’m always on the hunt for that beachy hair I couldn’t wait to give this product a go. Despite trying this over and over again I could never get the Surf Spray to work, it made my hair stiff, brittle and frizzy. I shoved it to the back of the draw and moved on. It was only until I saw a tutorial a few months back that I realized what I’d been doing wrong! I had been happily spritzing this all over my head, when my hair was dry! It quite clearly says to use on wet hair! Now I spray it onto wet hair, before I blow dry to take down the frizz, and I’m left with the most perfect piecey, slightly matte, lived in hair.
So there you have it, basically me admitting I’m not very qualified to be a beauty blogger, but then I guess it’s all part of the fun! Are there any product you didn’t quite ‘get’ when you first used them, but have now fallen in love with?
