COLAB Tokyo Dry ShampooA little late today guys, sorry about that, but here we go…

When creator of COLAB Dry Shampoo, Ruth Crilly, revealed in this video that the Tokyo scent of her dry shampoo was the least popular I had to give it a go.

If you saw my Three Easy Work Hairstyles or my February Empties then you’ll know I’m a big fan if the COLAB Dry Shampoo. Thing is, I was crazy about the London scent, and too afraid of trying out another. You can hardly stroll into Superdrug and start spraying dry shampoo everywhere so you can get a feel for the fragrance! But after seeing Ruth’s video, I couldn’t ignore the Tokyo scent any longer.

COLAB describe this scent as a blend of ‘oriental accents of orchid and mandarin with an aromatic base of sandalwood.’ And the best thing is you can really get all of those notes. I am a huge fan of sandalwood, so the richness that lends is warm and lovely. The hint of orchid gives you the freshness you’re looking for with a dry shampoo and the mandarin adds a girliness that’s a nice pick me up.

Still the same great formula, a light dry shampoo which might not save your hair if it’s a greasy, sweaty, after-the-gym-and-a-sauna mess, but will let you put off that wash an extra couple of days. Spray liberally and you’ll be pleasantly surprised to not find any white cast, no matter what your hair colour.

Have you tried the Tokyo fragrance? Or maybe you’re new to COLAB? I know branching out from the favourite scent, London has made me want to try others in the range, what about you? Let me know in the comments below.
