London Trip: Mini Space NK Haul

Over the next few days I’ll be sharing the things I brought in London during my birthday trip. There is just too much to put into one post, so keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming posts about the makeup, skin care, homeware and random purchases I made whilst I was away.

One shop I couldn’t wait to go to when in London was Space NK. After watching the videos of ViviannaDoesMakeup and Lily Pebbles for years, I was so excited to visit the high-end beauty store. I must admit, I found the stores to be completely overwhelming. There were so many things I have wanted for a long time, but I hadn’t made a shopping list and I didn’t exactly want my purse to run away with me in there!

Some of the things I wish I’d looked at in more detail would have to be everything from the Sarah Chapman range, or some of the By Terry makeup line, but maybe I will next time.

The first item I picked up was something I’ve been after for a while, the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. This highly pigmented product can be used as a foundation when mixed with a generous amount of moisturiser. Or it can be used ‘neat’, shall we say, to pin point conceal blemishes. I am pretty excited about using this, I don’t currently have a concealer that matches my skin tone perfectly (I’m working with solely drugstore products at the moment) and I don’t own anything with a consistency even close to this.

The other item I picked up from Space NK was the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, a repurchase. The Beauty Elixir was actually one of the first high end beauty products I tried. I was sucked in by its luxurious packaging and the fact that it was a FleurDeForce favourite.

Don’t ask what made me want to pick it up again, it’s benefits are impossible to tell when added into your regime. Does it work? Who knows? It is supposed to calm the skin, cool and tone it, I’m not convinced, but it did end up in my basket again…

The power of Space NK? Who knows!
