Primark Haul

So if you’re following me on Twitter you’ll know that I’m going to London for my birthday and I’m very excited about the whole idea. When the 6th March rolls around every year I’m always faced with the question “What do you want to do on your birthday?” and almost every year I give the same answer, “I want to go to London.” Truth be told, I want to spend the whole week in London, (which we’re almost doing this year) I want to spend a long time in London, I want to live in London. So once a year, it’s becoming a bit of a tradition, I pack my bags, hop on a coach, and get myself up to the capital. Some years it’s a bit of a family outing, my mum, my uncle, my partner Josh, some years it’s me and a group of friends. This year it will be just me and Josh going, and I needed to pick up a few things for our trip. So today I headed to Primark. I personally quite like Primark, affordable, on trend items, although I do find that some of their clothing can be a little ill fitting.

The first item I picked up was this wash bag, for Josh, but it’s actually really cute and I would use it.DSC_0042

Then I picked up my own new wash bag, a coral pink medium sized one, big enough to fit all my toiletries in. As it is going to be my birthday when we’re away I want to take some extra luxuries like bubble bath and instant fake tan.DSC_0044

To house all my little luxuries I also picked up these travel sized bottles. These packs are great for a weekend away; you can pack your own shampoo and conditioner, moisturiser and shower gel. In these packs you also get these little clear pots, which you could use to put your skincare into, but I will be popping these in my handbag to use when getting samples at Liberty and Selfridges.DSC_0028

Next up I treated myself to some new pajamas. I already have some shorts in this same fabric from Primark last year, and I can’t explain how soft they are! When I saw this navy pair of long trousers and a cami top, I could resist.DSC_0026

To go along with my new pajamas I picked up these slippers, they were only £1.90 and so I figured they would be cute to potter about the hotel room in. They originally had big, garish bluey-silvery gems on the front of the bows, but I just cut them off and hey presto, slightly chicer slippers!DSC_0037

I also picked up a glasses case, I probably didn’t need it, but if I fancy chucking some sunnies into my bag, or my glasses when I’m wearing contacts, then it will come in handy.DSC_0032

It was only the other day that I was having a conversation with one of my girl friends about the severe lack of hair pins in our lives, not because we don’t have many, but because we loose so many! I know this is true of lots of girls, that is why this time when I travel I will be taking this little wallet solely for hair pins and hair bands. That way, I’ll have to loose this before they can go walk abouts!DSC_0033

Keeping along the lines of planning ahead and being super organized, (totally unlike me, it must be my age!) I also picked up this slim fold up bag, just incase I am feeling particularly eco-friendly on my shopping spree in London, and this lightweight umbrella because…well, it is England.DSC_0054 DSC_0041

Finally I treated myself to a birthday top. This simple, chic black tunic was only £10.00, which by British highstreet standards is very good. I am planning on wearing this on my birthday with my leather look jeans from New Look, some ankle boots and an oversized coat!DSC_0013

I hope you liked checking out my little Primark haul! Let me know in the comments below what you thought or if there is anything you think I should have picked up.
