Neal's Yard Frankincense Hydrating CreamI’ve heard a lot about Neal’s Yard products over the last year. I had been desperate to try out some of their product line and after my moisturiser ran out I thought I would give the Frankincense Hydrating Cream a go.

Neal’s Yard is a primarily natural brand, boosting of 91% organic ingredients. I must admit, this isn’t something that is massively important to me, but I know it might be to some. The Frankincense Hydrating Cream I picked up for just under £20.00, so not a budget day cream by any means.

On first use I was really impressed with it’s rich texture that gives the skin a huge hit of moisture. I think it sits incredibly well under makeup, creating a cushioned, plump base to put your foundation onto. I am a fan of the frankincense scent and so it is a pleasure for me to use, feeling really luxurious and rich.

It wasn’t until about a week of using it that I noticed my skin breaking out in small, white blemishes. At the time I was convinced it must have been something else in the skincare. I was in denial guys! I wanted to like this moisturiser so much as I knew it was a favourite of lots of people the world over.

Neal's Yard Frankincense Hydrating Cream OpenSometimes you just have to give up, and after a little reality check I must admit it was because of this product. I think the high amounts of essential oils is the thing I have had a problem with, which is strange for me as I have pretty hardy skin that can normally take to any product.

So I am now left with a relatively expensive cream in beautiful dark blue packaging that I just can’t use! What do I do? It’s far too luxurious to use on my body! So for the moment it has been relegated to use on my neck, which honestly, isn’t the ideal situation. I guess sometimes a product just doesn’t work and when that’s the case, to those dry legs it goes!

Let me know if you have had the same problem with any Neal’s Yard products, I would love to hear about your experiences!
